I'm known in world and in business as Logan Porterfield, design goddess/owner of LoPo Designs, LLC. My business is art, graphic design, and professional virtua. Muse that I am, with my digital camera, a tablet, and several other intangible tools, I create masterpieces. In other words, I'm a digital artist.

In the physical world, I create digital fine art and design graphic tees. In the virtual world of Second Life (SL for short), I create street fashion for avatars and do graphic design and concept art for sim owners.

No clue what Second Life is? In a nutshell, it's a real-time, interactive, 3-D social, educational, recreational, and business networking community. In other words, a very fancy chat program. In SL, businesses reduce travel expenses via virtual meetings and conferences - universities hold virtual classes as part of their distance education programs - musicians stream their performances live via virtual concerts and gigs. Designers and architects use SL as a green method of 3D modeling. However, the average person uses SL to connect with people from around the world. It's like having 3D pen pals.

In Second Life, one can tour virtual replicas of major cities he/she might not otherwise get to see, build things without making a mess, and/or play a little in a world where diversity and creativity are cherished and fostered, and by the very nature of its virtuality, a great many real world barriers are lifted. Who would you be in such a place? The world is free to explore. Why not sign up, check it out, and pay me a visit yourself?

Residents in the Second Life world create avatars to represent themselves. You wouldn't walk around nude in real life would you? Neither do Second Life folks. That's where I come in. I turn residents into walking works of art. (You'll thank me later for this, I'm sure.)

New Fall SL Fashions

I've designed several new fashion items for the upcoming fall season. A few are in the shop now; the rest will be uploaded and added to inventory in mid-to-late September.

I'm Moving!

I've switched hosting companies, and while migrating the old site, I decided a complete overhaul would be refreshing. I hope you enjoy the lighter, crisp look. Not only am I moving the site to a different host, I'm also in the process of moving myself across town. During the move, I am putting all but the most critical aspects of the business on hold. I expect to resume creating new virtual fashions and art sometime in September.

Prints of two of my digital fine art pieces will be on exhibit and available for purchase, September 7 - 24 at the Museum of Computer Art's physical gallery in Brooklyn, NY.
